Design Description
Ankara's design layout starts from the mines on the plateau. In the process of stone deposition over the years, due to the rich crustal activities, heat-rich minerals continue to intrude into the stone rock layer. Therefore, the excavated ones have a stronger span and richer color changes. In addition, the geographical environment conditions continue to change during the accumulation process, which constitutes more texture and form layout changes.
The elegant white base is the expression of the travertine mine on the Anatolian Plateau. The root-like stone pattern is like a vein formed by streams and mountains converging into rivers in the valley from the air, showing the texture and form of natural flow. The rich stone pattern extends along the beautiful river valley between the mountains and ridges. Overlooking the earth, you can feel the jumping and changes of the stone texture. Ankara is a full-body sintered stone with a satin finish that gives its travertine-inspired surface a soft, smooth feel. The 1600 × 3200 × 12 mm slabs can be bookmatched so the veining mirrors across the joint. The 1200 × 2700 × 6 mm slabs come in three faces designed to continue the veining from one slab to the next.
Advantages and Applications
Ankara’s satin finish gives the white, travertine-inspired surface a soft sheen and a smooth feel. The same design offers two ways to match the veining across joints. The 12 mm bookmatched sintered stone slabs form a mirror image when paired. The 6 mm slabs come in three coordinated faces that carry the veining from one slab to the next.
For a living room feature wall, center a bookmatched pair behind the sofa so the mirrored veins frame the seating area. For a long hallway or an open-plan living space, lay the three 6 mm faces in sequence to draw the eye along the wall.
